On Saturday the 26th of November 2022, the sales department at Polestar Netherlands organized an exclusive Rally for owners of the Polestar 1 to show their deep appreciation to this loyal group of founding customers. All attendees experienced a day of sophistication and excitement at the Nieuwersluijs-Beesd Rally.
On Saturday the 26th of November 2022, the sales department at Polestar Netherlands organized an exclusive Rally for owners of the Polestar 1 to show their deep appreciation to this loyal group of founding customers. All attendees experienced a day of sophistication and excitement at the Nieuwersluijs-Beesd Rally.
The day commenced at 11:30 AM with a delicious lunch at Hotel Flora Batava. Upon arrival, all Polestar 1 cars were parked in the lot, from where the guests headed to the reception area of Restaurant Bloom where they were warmly welcomed by our staff. They received a route book and were guided to the conservatory for a meal of Green Asparagus (starter), Halibut (main course), and Cheesecake (dessert).
At 2:00 PM, all attendees embarked on the Nieuwersluijs-Beesd Rally, driving their own Polestar 1 along a pre-set route on public roads. By completing assignments such as answering questions, writing down letter boards, and placing stamps at checkpoints they demonstrated that they had driven the correct route. A control card was collected to calculate the final result.
The day came to a tasteful conclusion with a pleasant drink at the Handover Center in Beesd. The three winning teams will receive eternal fame and a chance to win unique prizes.
As the event manager, I helped the sales team within Polestar with organizing this special event. I was delighted how the event was received, and the experience further strengthened the visitor's loyalty and interest towards the Polestar brand. It also brought the team closer and made them proud to be a part of the company.

For me, the art of organizing events is a mostly a matter of scheduling recurring moments to meet and discuss. Finding a moment to review plans and ideas together. I challenged every member of the team to work on every little details, turning them into concrete action points.. And it was nice to watch how through the proces, a clearly defined vision of how the day would go was ingrained within everyone's mind. And everyone was ready to go.
Looking back on The Nieuwersluijs-Beesd Rally, I must conclude that it was a day of sophistication and excitement and the guest were delighted to be there. I'm proud of how the event turned out.
