I collaborated with the Lowlander team to create a design featuring a quirky beaver holding a Kolf stick while skating on ice. The design, inspired by traditional Dutch imagery, received positive feedback for its unique and playful nature. It was used on bottle labels, coasters, and posters, adding sophistication to the brand's premium products. This project showcased the author's illustration skills and contributed to enhancing Lowlander's reputation in the beer brewing industry.
For this project, I worked closely with the Lowlander team to understand their vision and brand aesthetic. I conducted research into traditional Dutch imagery and animals to ensure that the design would fit within the brand's established style. I then created several sketches and drafts, incorporating the client's feedback and suggestions, until we arrived at the final design of the quirky beaver holding a Kolf stick (the precursor of Golf) while skating on ice
The design was well received by the Lowlander team and their customers, who appreciated the unique and playful nature of the image. The design was used on the bottle labels and other promotional materials, such as coasters and posters. The etched lithographic style added an element of sophistication and elegance to the design, complementing the brand's premium quality products.
This project was a great opportunity to showcase my illustration skills and my ability to work within the parameters of a brand's established aesthetic. The final design was a perfect representation of Lowlander's playful and traditional brand, and helped to enhance their reputation and market position in the competitive world of beer brewing.
